Tapixy wants every creator and shopper to be able to use our storefronts, creator studio, and guides, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technologies.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Tapixy is partially conformant: some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard, and we keep improving them.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML landmarks, headings, and lists so pages make sense to screen readers such as VoiceOver on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Give buttons, links, menus, and form fields accessible names and labels, and announce status messages as they change.
- Support keyboard navigation with visible focus, and respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images and hide purely decorative graphics from assistive technology.
Known limitations
- Creator content: looks, videos, product titles, and images are published by creators. Some videos may not have captions, and some product images may have limited descriptions.
- Third-party content: embedded YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok players, merchant websites, and affiliate network pages are run by other companies and follow their own accessibility practices.
Compatibility
Tapixy is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and with the screen readers built into iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Android, and Windows.
